Additions to Esther
A separate volume — not canonical Scripture
Six Greek expansions of the book of Esther: Mordecai's dream, the text of the king's letters, the prayers of Mordecai and Esther, Esther's fainting audience before the king, and the dream explained. They add God's name (absent from the Hebrew Esther) and religious colouring the Holy Spirit did not put there — a standing lesson in what happens when men improve on Scripture.
