1Say: He is Allah, the One!
2Allah, the eternally Besought of all!
3He begetteth not nor was begotten. ★ REFUTED
★ REFUTATION — “He begetteth not” — against the Son of God
Contradicts the Bible
The whole of Surah 112 was, by Muslim tradition, revealed to deny that God has a Son. But the God of the Bible declared of Christ, 'Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee' (Psalm 2:7) — spoken not of a physical birth but of the eternal Son, who was with the Father before the world was. The Quran forbids what the Scripture commands us to believe.
Psalms 2:7I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
John 3:16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 17:5And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
4And there is none comparable unto Him.
