Bel and the Dragon

A separate volume — not canonical Scripture

← All fourteen books

Two short satires on idolatry from Greek Daniel: Daniel proves the idol Bel eats nothing (the priests do), and destroys a worshipped dragon with a cake of pitch. Fine ammunition against image-worship, in the manner of Baruch 6 — and plainly a later appendix, not part of the prophet's book.
