First appears at Job 2:11

← All characters in order

First named in Scripture at Job 2:11 — read the chapter.

From Easton’s Bible Dictionary (1897)

the Shuhite, one of Job’s three friends who came to mourn with him and to comfort him in his affliction (Job 2:11). Probably a descendant of Shuah, the son of Abraham by Keturah (Genesis 25:2). Bildad speaks three times in the dialogues (Job 8; 18; 25) — in the last, the briefest speech of the book. [Biography compiled from the KJV record; Easton’s entry under “Shuhite” is fragmentary.]
